We all  know that State Bank of India recently announced the SBI PO Written exam Shortlisted candidates list at their official site. After qualifying the Phase 1 written examination selected candidates have to attend for Phase II Group Discussion and Interview. According to the SBI announcement Phase II will be held on 8th October 2014. Candidates can download SBI PO Call Letter 2014 and bio data form from 15th September 2014 onwards through SBI Official site.
 Approximately 37 lacs of people were attended for 1837 PO vacancies. So preparation is important to be selected as SBI PO Officer one among them. According to the SBI PO Cut off marks candidates will be called for Group Discussion. Candidates who qualified in GD will be called for Personal Interview. So the aspirants must prepare well while attending the GD and interview.

SBI PO Interview Process

SBI PO Interview process mainly consists of two rounds and finally experience criteria.
1.    Group discussion ( 20 marks)
2.    Personal Interview (30 marks)
3.    Experience (10 marks)

Group Discussion

According to the SBI Cut Off marks in both objective test and Descriptive test in each category candidates will be called for Group Discussion and interview. Group Discussion conduct for 20 marks and the qualifying marks in Group discussion in will be decided by the Bank. Candidates who are shortlisted for GD are just one step away to success. So prepare well and be confident while facing GD.

SBI checks the following abilities in GD:

SBI conducts the group discussion to analyse the person mentality at certain conditions. In GD they are mainly focusing on communication skills, decision making skills and leader ship qualities.  In this session candidates will get marks based on their performance in following skills.
·         Communication Skills
·         Decision making skills
·         Problem analysis
·         Creativity
·         Leadership qualities
·         Ability to work in a team

Personal Interview

Candidates who performed well at group discussion will be called for personal interview round. It conducts for 30 marks. In this session they may ask questions based on current affairs, present politics, or from candidate career back ground. This is not a question and answer session. They are conducting interview round to check candidate confident skills.

Tips to Crack Personal Interview

·         Personal Interview is not a question and answer session. So the candidates don’t focus on questions and don’t bother about unanswering questions.
·         They are conducting this round to check candidate mentality and confident skills.
·         Be confident while answering the question, and must update with current affairs and present politics, sachems and etc.
·         They may ask questions based on your career profile. So just go through on it once.
·         They may ask questions related to banking sector like present governor of RBI, functions of RBI etc.

Expected questions in Personal Interview:

·         Tell me about you self?
·         Why did you choose this career?
·         Do you any plans for further education?
·         What do you know about banking?
·         Q’s related to your achievements?
·         Will you relocate?
Etc
Expected Question Related to Banking sector:
·         What is Bank?
·         Who is the present governor of RBI?
·         What are the functions of SBI Bank?
·         Any ideas to improve Banking services..?

Experience

This part contain 10 marks and in most of the cases not that significant. However, if you have experience not only as a professional but also number of time you appeared such interviews, will be an added benefit. If you’re fresher, don’t bother at all because there are number of practical criteria based upon which they decide your ability.
